Think our yields are much better out of EWR, I’ve never really heard we had any interest in JFK. There’s no JB merger...

DL dropped their last remaining international flight this summer (EWR-CDG). They no longer operate international from EWR fwiw.

Air France and KLM are doing the routes instead. Just like our JV with LH, the color of the airplane is just an operational consideration.
DAL's "presence" on those routes has not changed, other than the reduction of DAL pilots flying out of EWR.
(Anybody notice that LH and ANA serve JFK?)

Lots of big money in JFK. Jeffry walked out of the PS service at JFK, and all of those passengers went to Delta. None came to EWR. The money is still there. AA has cherry picked our routes for years. No reason we can't do the same.
LAX-JFK, and SFO-JFK. Keep the 57's and run more PS to JFK. For that matter, take Alaska's Virgin A321 orders and run the A321's like American.

All NYC area traffic is lumped into one big pot as far as the DOJ is concerned for antitrust purposes. United is #1 at 23.8% (May 2018). Here's the report: https://www.panynj.gov/airports/pdf-...G_MAY_2018.pdf
Now, combine UAL + JBLU traffic. DOJ will require divestiture so zero point in buying JBLU.

Kirby is actually the reason we are no longer in JFK, and he’s admitted it. When he was at AA he started competing directly with UA on the premier transcon service, except they had cheaper/newer aircraft. UA and their 757s couldn’t compete, so they pulled out.... fast forward to today, Kirby is at UA and wants to get back in at JFK where there’s not a single gate to be had...
