Would be interesting if we knew what day most closely resembles the final...because it isn't the day, or 2 days, before it closes. Maybe day 2 or 3 most resembles the final?

Yeah. Thinking an interesting dynamic may play out in this fleet. For example I would consider taking a bid, but because I know I would be flying the 757-200 90% of the time, and I know that pays more or less what I get paid right now (albeit not true when I fly the 319 of which more are coming). Point is I have no strong motive to move until I am senior enough to bid Europe 763 flying. That may mean that the 756 bids go junior for awhile and then suddenly reverses to senior guys in a year or 2. We'll see.

Day 1 he had one award below him in his desired BES. Day 2 he was off the list entirely (and by a large amount), but then came back Day 3 and got steadly more senior on each snapshot, the highest being the last snapshot with five guys below, but the final result showed a number of last minute bids were thrown in driving him back down.
Which snapshot did the final most closely resemble? Day 1.
He was awarded his BES with one guy beneath him, just as shown on that first snapshot.
Again, every vacancy is different, and every BES is different. Just some food for thought.

Yup. I think in this case the Day 1 snapshot will prove to be unusually inaccurate. This bid is unlike any I've seen since I wandered onto the property a few years back. A lot of folks who didn't have standing bids in already yesterday probably saw how ridiculously junior some of the CAs were going and got off their butts in time for today's snapshot. Yesterday I was tempted to bid up, but after today not so much. It ain't over till the bid closes though...
