Depends on what you are paying attention to I suppose. I'm pretty much looking at the junior CA bids. For example, on today's bid the next to last junior SFO CA 737 is U---720, #34 out of 35. On the day 1 snapshot he was #14 out of 36. Day 2 he was #27 out of 32. I'm guessing folks at more senior bases are currently weighing CA pay vs. commuting for a while. I think pay is going to win out and he won't make the final cut. Other BES? Maybe those won't change as much from Day 1.

Got it. I do think though that the prediction that junior CA and WBFO will remain the same won’t happen.

I love how ALPA's argument against satellite domiciles is that it would dilute seniority and flying across our hubs. Yet CLE is a domicile and LAX is with 50 crews on the A320??? Seems pretty contradictory to me. Could open an MCO/TPA co-base that was at least double the size of the current 737 CLE domicile.

Shhhh! AWAX might try to hunt you down!!!

FWIW, I think the CO is maneuvering to make something along the lines of satellites happen. Putting limitations on the use of transfer days? Check! I think a TA will ultimately reveal all, but I think a getting pony is more likely this particular XMas.

The company didn’t place the limit on transfer days. We negotiated it. The company could also open up an MCO base tomorrow if they started the npdm.

The satellite base argument has been tossed around forever. The answer has always been: just open up a base. Why give the company free shizz

Negotiated it? I didn't read what the MEC put out very closely on Transfer days at the time because I was much more interested in the removal of the floor on trades (effective Monday, yay!). Did we get the floor removed in exchange for more restrictions on Transfer days? Or was there another reason we agreed to a limit?

Tpa/MCO base would be more senior than DEN 787 .. I could prob hold it as the Lav juice service guy....

I was sad you didn’t reply here

Possible BOS Expansion

I’ll continue to oppose satellite domiciles as they’ve been previously proposed as it abrogates seniority. We can agree to disagree on that. If the company has enough flying to support a pilot base, I would like to see them use the same NPDM process that resulted in DEN 787 being announced this week. Any new base should be open to the entire list, not a select BES.

Again, agree to disagree on that I suppose.

I saw it, but without anything on the table from the CO I don't think the subject merits reopening debate on a public forum. I do know what I'd do if I were in the CO's shoes and wanted to make something resembling satellites happen. I've seen a few signs maybe pointing in that direction, but nothing I'd be willing to hang a hat on. A TA will tell the tale....

Indeed, and I hope it’s an agreement that’s equitable for all.
