Not really. If you've got the HP to massage your schedule you can come pretty close. And if you factor in the additional days flown as a junior puke Captain, it looks even better.
And the super senior guys who fly in bases blessed with chronic understaffing can really clean up. I dunno, for some guys there's more to life than your W2. I know there is for me.
And for other's, they just like the lifestyle better. A three-day trip (and many four day trips) are two legs. Two times through security. One van ride to/from the hotel. You seldom deal with the type of weather that tends to plague the NB operation, particularly in summer. It's not all roses, but its pretty sweet. The proof is in the bid results.

Yep there's a reason the vast majority of WB FOs are senior enough to hold CA positions in nearly every fleet and in some cases even the WB fleet.
It's hard to beat the days off/money matrix of the WB flying.
Put it this way, depending on the trips one is holding on the WB, one may not even see a pay raise by upgrading to NBCA and if they do it's because they're working more days a month. A 29hr WBFO 4day trip pays more in actual dollars than a 25hr NBCA 4day trip and comes with all the benefits oldmako mentioned above (two legs, no weather, etc).
That being said, it's nice to take a break from the time zone changes after years of flying overseas. The beauty of working here. One has a lot of choices in the type of flying they can do and can change back and forth for the variety if they so desire.

Exactly, huge pay bump in the left seat was worth it to me. I got displaced to the widebody years ago, did a few years of long haul stuff, that was enough for me. I hated the constant fatigue, never flying unless you picked up a London. Got to where I really dreaded going to work. I’ll never go back to that personally, my classmates that are on the 78 and 777 are really starting to age. I love the variety of the 737, and the ability to make really good money if you want to work. Great to work at a company with options. Think the CA bids will go Jr for a while, lots of guys wait till they can bid it at a certain percentage.

Constant fatigue? I've never experienced that problem as a WB FO.
Never flying? You left before you got some seniority in the right seat. I've spent most of my time as a WB FO as the flying pilot.
Variety? I've seen enough layovers in different cities. If I really want to visit a city, I'll take a vacation there with my family.
Pay? If a WB FO's salary on min credit isn't enough for someone, I can't see where they'd be satisfied with a NB CA's salary. It's not that big a difference and can easily be offset by picking up an extra trip as a WB FO and still have more days off than a NB CA.

It's great to have choices. I personally agree with OldMako; I'd much rather be a WB FO than a NB CA. At any seniority.

That being said, from an F/O point of view the junior flying absolutely sucks out here and like I did, I'd stay an F/O and hold off the upgrade until I could hold the better quality stuff.
