If you don’t like those odds, I’d recommend finishing the degree.

I guess I'm thankful I have a magical 4 year degree. Apparently I should have gotten it in HR so I would understand hiring.

What I still don't understand is that I have passed the UA CPP process (app/hogan/interview), but still can't get the computer to pull my application for an off the street opportunity. Already paid for C/M to look over my AirlineApps. Don't know what piece of the puzzle I am missing.

Just playing devils advocate here, as I’m not 100% sure how to process works— I know they say you CAN get hired outside of the CPP, but putting myself in their shoes... why would I pull a pilot from one of my feeders earlier than I’m required to when there’s thousands of candidates just as qualified that I could pick from? Are CPP candidates actually getting selected for off the street hire? I’d be interested in comparing data between # of non-CPP off the street hires versus # of CPP off the street hires to see if there’s a bias. Kind of like comparing people hired off the street at AA from a whole-owned subsidiary (skipping the flow) versus people hired off the street from an outside, non affiliated airline.
Again, not trying to be negative. I’m just as curious as you are.
