Medical taken care of, got on their cancellation list and an opening popped up that day. Perfect. Seems I created some drama here, sorry for that.
Yes, I do in fact live in an area where AME’s aren’t around every corner.
All is good. See you in a week and a half.

Good luck. Better to ask the question.

Get your new medical and then correct the date on your app. Zero drama and you’re done with it.

If you think they have the resources to check every iteration of your application, then disregard.
Life Alerting as in staying at a regional for 2 more years vs getting on at united. Absolutely. Now you say to falsify your app. More great advice.

I want to focus on this golden gem of poor thought.

United, does, in fact have every resource available to validate resumes. The date on your medical will be verified when you interview and present a photocopy of your valid info. It's one of the few things that will be 100% verified, probably the worst possible thing to alter. Also, the company takes snapshots of your app and checks what you change. These go back quite a ways. I have heard information from at least 2 different higher-ups of people getting FIRED after showing up for indoc because they caught doctored applications. People have had their interviews cancelled for adding on things after they get the call. All this to avoid going to the doc? Lazy, dishonest and poorly informed advice. What next? Guestimate IFR time?

Sorry if I offended your sensibilities or acted like a 'drama queen' for insisting that OP not LIE on his application, like you suggest. I stand by the fact that opportunities like this don;t come often, and blowing a chance at a legacy job WILL in fact, have life altering consequences.

Good for you for double checking! Best of luck!

In case any of those here decide to falsify something on their app, like medical dates, in seconds it can be verified on line.

I went to faa.gov, searched my name and all my current certification data came up. No hours, but all my licenses, ratings, last medical date and restrictions. So does United’s fancy Applcation program do that? Why find out.

If you have to drive a couple hours or fly, go do it. You'll be much more comfortable at the fair. I would not go to this somewhat exclusive hiring event with an invalid application. If you're flying that much, do it on a layover.
Great, but commonsense advice.

UAL now has a spot for attendance of "United Recruiting Event" or "United Sponsored Event" (plus the obvious NGPA/WIA/OBAP) in the addendum, so just to sum this all up looking forward, where is the best place/reference for knowing when these United Events are taking place?
