Got the invite for 19th! Originally in my spam folder! Question: Should I have my app professionally reviewed by the likes of Cage, or Emerald or since I got the invite based on my app on file - leave it alone, just update? Do plan on interview prep if fortunate enough to get the interview nod!

Wow glad you found it! I hired Cage to have all my stuff reviewed and be ready for the interview. I’ve been updating and reviewed my app in airlineapps after getting the invite. Should’ve I not done that?!? I mean this isn’t the interview. Mainly I’ve updated dates and rewrote/cleaned the app up in general, nothing too crazy. I’m still waiting to do the app review with Cage (just waiting on them to settle on a date).

I talked to another UAL new hire, he mentioned that this should lead to a the HOGAN, then formal Interview. Not sure if y’all have found out the same or different info.

Step 1: Purge that characterization of the event immediately.
Step 2: Receive job offer to multi-million dollar career.

You’re welcome.

Is it possible to transfer an invitation to someone else, if the invitee has no intention of going? Has anyone tried this or attempted it?

Lol thanks Winston, that’s not what I meant but I’ll take the tip anyway! Hehe

My point is: it’s ALL the interview. Every email you receive or send, every gate agent or F/A you interact with, the people at the hotel front desk.

Bad attitudes have a way of being identified and commented on to those who make those multi-million dollar decisions. Dress, act, and speak accordingly.

Now that’s an excellent tip. Well said. I couldn’t agree more!

Job Fair related app question:

I had been advised multiple times to include my Other time in the Total Time calculation for each airframe on AirlineApps because "it is important that the math adds up on each page"..and that if United didn't want to count them (understandably so), they would subtract it from your total since the type of hours is laid out plainly.

I just found out that that may NOT be the case and I edited my app accordingly, but could this be a sore spot when it comes to the job fair and/or getting an interview invite? I only had ~250 Other hours which bumped my total down to ~3400TT (3300 mil turbine), but I'm more worried about having edited the app post job fair invite.

I know that the whole "Other" time debate is its own can of worms and I am not trying to open it.

Thanks
