Concur & 737 thermal bag settlement
I’ve had a few meal replacement expense requests be approved so far. I’ve received the meal replacement cost via direct deposit but not the $40 settlement on any my expense reports.
Has anybody received their settlement and if so did it come with your meal replacement money or later.
The instructions from the union say not to include the settlement $$ into the reimbursement amount. The company is supposed to add that manually after approval.
My expense reports are being approved but the $40 settlement is not showing up in concur or with the direct deposits.

Had several for April and they were paid separately via my May 16th paycheck and labeled "Special Payment". The current pay per occurance is $25 and it jumps to $40 in July. Of course mine were incorrect and they didn't pay me for all of them.

Spent a few days in the hospital for a situation that clouds be attributed to a spoiled meal. Non refrigerated meals for 8+ hours on transcons can ruin your week. These cooler bags are a good thing. Please don’t take this settlement lightly!

Not exactly....each pilot can determine his/her own meal safety standard. If I'm on a transcon with two meals (B/L/D and a snack) I'll eat the hot meal first. Kind of difficult to claim that meal as spoiled unless the catering was loaded upline or super early, but usually at a hub catering is loaded fairly late. The second meal, usually a snack, will have been sitting several hours plus the transit time from catering to the aircraft. Before I accept the second meal, I'll check to see how fresh it is or if it's been kept cold. More often than not, it's not been kept cold either from the cart being left open or no dry ice. In that case I'll consider the 2nd meal spoiled. With all that said, I've boarded a plane in IAD that had been sitting for several hours catered with our meals not on dry ice. The trays were covered in condensation and the food was warm to the touch, which I consider spoiled. Replaced and expensed before ever leaving the gate, and not one question asked by the company. Just be able to justify your reasoning, that's all.
