Now the good news for folks that actually live in Denver (or can at least have a reasonable drive to DIA) is that the Denver base has grown fairly substantially. This means that their seniority now can still be used if they want to commute, but at least now can "buy" you a little more QOL if you want to just drive to work.

Denver captain positions went from 348 to 420 (appropriate for Denver) year over year (1905V Category Summary). A 20% increase! Only about 1/3 of that was the new 787 category. So we got that going for us.... which is nice.

1. Any educated guesses regarding upgrade time on any platform in Denver for guys who were recently hired 2018-19? I’ve heard Captain is still very senior, 14-15 years, what are the chances it drops down to sub 10 years for guys who have been hired in 2018-19?
2. It sounds like Denver may still be possible to get around a year in, is there reason to believe that will continue or was that an anomaly? Any estimates on how long before you could hold a line? How about a line with weekends off?

There’s also the rumor Frontier will loose/give up some/all their gates. Maybe they’ll just use airstairs and save money? Kirby has talked about “aggressively” going after them.
And rumor two that the 787 will gain a few more destinations.
If either, both or something similar happens, who knows what will happen with Denver. Point is, you won’t know until it happens.
Check out the link below for the DIA Masterplan.
