Edit: and you’ll always fly with your favorite captain!

I recently went from 777FO to A320 CA in EWR. I couldn't be happier.
For me there were 2 primary issues. 1) There are a large percentage of captains in EWR on the 777 that are not enjoyable to fly with. 2) I found that I did not recover well from working on the back side of the clock which is what virtually every trip does on the 777 in EWR.
Most FOs on the 777 in EWR seemed to have no trouble switching back and forth in time zones, but I was not one of them. It really took a toll on my body. I already sleep better and feel better after only 2 months on the A320 flying trips that start after 7AM and finish by 10PM, and my May schedule has 17 days off and 78 hours. On the 777 I bid TLV and worked 12 days for 78 hours. I'm working 1 day more for the same hours but I'm infinitely happier. Just one dude's experience

That's the beauty of working at an international airline. Even though I had reasonable seniority as a Bus F/O, the flying slowly deteriorated to the point that it just became too much work. Too much time away, too many long sits in IAH and ORD, too many swaps, too many embedded red-eyes, etc. And the pay credit per trip stunk, at least at my seniority.
The right seat of the 777 is fantastic. Want to fly? Bid a line and go. Want to work on the boat or hang with the dog? Bid reserve.
There was a significant chunk of my career when I likely would have been better off at SWA, but that was long ago. The industry has matured and changed quite a bit since then.

You are on reserve for all airports in a multi airport base. It expected you get to the primary airport within the 2.5 hours for SC and within a reasonable time to the others. Long call is 13 hours to the trip. You will only sit Feild STBY at the main airport (EWR).
Here are the multi hub airports:
EWR- LGA/JFK
IAD- DCA/BWI
SFO- SJC/OAK
LAX- SNA/BUR/ONT

If you don't have your own wheels, you do get cross town pay that winds up being about $90. Which should cover your Uber.

Take a look at the bid packet and look at The EWR A320 flying before you put in your bid. We have very early morning LGA and EWR flying that gets back late. One of my favorites is a 1 day ORD turn that leaves at 0600 and returns at 2200. Know what you are getting into. I see this bid going really junior especially due to the fact you will be spending your summer in DEN training.

SFO 787 CA is not going to see a bid for a long time but I bet you see backfills on 787 FO this bid. Only 16 need to bid out and a lot of the bottom has been on reserve for coming up on 3 years and all the locks have expired. If the 777 goes junior enough (60 seats is a lot) you may see 787 pilots jumping on being a line holder.
I will if I can get to 70%.......it’s a short course from 787>777

I haven't compared all of the seniority groupings but it doesn't look much different below 70%. Both planes look like approximately the same seniority, which is what I'd expect.
