This Barton thing is a distraction from that.

Come and see me in 6 months when: Your section 1 is degraded but you have a contract or, in 3-5 years when you actually get a contract if we hold the line on section 1.

By the way, I would be very happy to be proven wrong.
Except for the last sentence I would guess this is John or Garry

Our contract (and scope) is fine the way it is... AND don't forget the 4% raise next January. That should tide us over until 2020. NO SCOPE CHANGES.

No, I don't have any issues with either of them because I don't know or follow either one of them. However, the whacko posts by anti-JB pilots on the UAL forum are pretty far out there. I've read a lot of accusations with zero proof - how much is truth and how much is fiction, I don't know.

This isn't the first time that factions within UALALPA have had their elementary school rants in the forums. Very classy stuff. Including some former union leaders. Makes me feel really good about our union.

Are you saying that some of TI's supporters aren't whack jobs?

And oldmako, invoking Dubo's name is a HUGE negative in my book. In his wake, due to his 'advancements', UALALPA spent more than a decade trying to recover.
His statement on choking the golden goose still resonates poorly with me. I've got no problem thinking such thoughts. To make a statement like that in public only vilified every pilot on property.

This is why I happily voted for the contract extension. It was low hanging fruit that was an easy take. The hard work starts now and will likely drag out to at least 2020. And even within the pilot group, I don't see universal agreement on proposed changes.

Excellent post and why on earth couldn't the lynch mob just have waited until the regular elections that are due in October?

This whole thing makes us look like fools in front of management, IMHO.

I disagree. I think it makes us look highly aware and unwilling to put up with ####. If anything, it sends a strong message.
