You guys are outta control if you really believe this stuff.
How close are you to this process that you can claim any of your statements about our hiring process are actually true?
Been on property about a year myself, ~30 new hires in my class, more than half military, a few of each CPP, and a random Skywest or other regional. All male. All straight. The classes on either side were roughly the same.
Just because you met a gay pilot, flew with a woman once or saw a black guy in the crew room doesn’t mean you’ll soon be relegated to 3/5 of a vote just because you’re a straight white male. Sorry your very qualified buddy didn’t get hired. I was that guy once. ******* happens.

We did get honorable mention at 3:02 so there's that.
Its getting comical when every single United advertisement in the airport and on the jetway walls feature only "diverse" Pilots despite the majority of us falling into the shameful white, male category. I could give a rats ass but it amazes me the lengths this company goes to proving that its supposedly "diverse".

I inquire as to how they did it. They aren't bragging, but they ain't ashamed either. The GPA did it. The GPA was my "in." I've heard it personally 3 times from 3 separate individuals.
When an airline places more value on GPA points than it does from their own line Captains we've got a problem.

I respectfully disagree with the first part of your statement. I graudated Summa Cum Laude in a real major, with a ton of volunteer work, over 15 internal recs, and 121 TPIC... And still crickets. I think there's no algorithm at all, and they're just throwing darts at a board plastered with which ever apps are randomly selected that week. Some people get lucky, some don't. Until that email comes along, UAL isn't the only girl (or guy... Not that there's anything wrong with that ) at the dance.
