I don't feel very confident in Scott Kirby's leadership or vision.....

Is he a big player in the industry that has done great things in the past?

What's his track-record?
A quote from the our MEC Chairman:

"After years of gross neglect by dysfunctional and inept former management, our company is now moving in the right direction. Contrary to some short-sighted Wall Street analyst's opinions, United is running a safe, reliable, and profitable airline, all while making the strategic moves needed to secure our future."

Union leadership believes in his Kirby's strategic plan; do you not like your Union?

I like our union, however I can also disagree with them.

Not everything is black or white.

He might actually do something positive that benefits the company as well as the pilots. If the union applaudes that ... fine ... That's part of the game.

We were all warned by the AA/USAir guys that Scooter is basically a one trick pony ... RJs/Scope relief.

I was chastised a few months ago by someone who didn't like a mildly derogatory remark about Scooter ... Rose colored glasses abound.

I think most of us , including the union, know what we are dealing with.

I don’t care if management talks nice, I just want competence. The jury is still out on that.

Yes ... This.

And to Floyd ... Thanks for the laugh ... The guy that's not in the picture that's not a Sargent.

No rose colored glasses here; just get tired from all the whining.

I agree but we need to nip the idiocy in the bud. That email is offensive to any of our employees that have half a brain. The masses aren't upset that there was a new performance program. They are upset that it was a blatant bad deal.

No disagreement there and good management understands employee relations. This move had a Smisek stench to it. The good news is they walked it back. The bad news is they were tone deaf enough to try it in the first place and clueless enough to be surprised at the reaction.
