Maybe they didn’t kill those kids but they helped facilitate the gun that was used to kill them. The NRA is a lobby representive for the gun industry and buys votes through campaign contributions. Any semi-automatic gun that can fire 30 rounds in less than 60 seconds is an offensive weapon and has no place in a none military environment.
Yes, they (NRA) share in the responsibility for the deaths of those kids! Chalky old men may control the money but the kids have energy, enthusiasm, social media and middle aged parents that are tired of seeing our kids die for the sake of a dollar. There will be change and the youth may just be the leaders to effect that change - good bye NRA.

But lets look at the past.
Back in the 1980's, it took a bunch of Moms to say 'We've had enough with the casual attitude towards drinking and driving', especially after a bunch of kids were killed by drunk drivers.
Hence, M.A.D.D was born.
Not to take away or ban alcohol, not to do the same with automobiles.. but to make changes to the way society and the Law looked at this problem.
Changes were made.
Fast forward to Feb of 2018 and maybe this last mass shooting will be the tipping point where we as a society look at certain types of weapons, and also people who want to own firearms.
We probably would have a lot more DUI related deaths if it wasn't for M.A.D.D and the changes they helped to bring around...
Maybe in the future, the amount of Mass Shooting Deaths will be reduced due to changes that the youth leaders of America will make.
This time, it seems that there is change in the wind.
Time will tell~

I take it that you’ve come up with a way to stop the slaughter of our kids. Would you care to enlighten the masses. Until then you can call me a snowflake because I’m going to stand with and for the kids.

On second thought, maybe I will contribute:
The problem with the NRA is their lack of sensible compromise on anything gun related. The 2nd amendment has been thoroughly stretched and raped beyond recognition. Read the first half of the amendment.
The 2nd amendment guarantees you a weapon that fires one bullet before requiring you to pour gunpowder in it to reload. The founding fathers would have gotten their tights and wigs in a bunch if they thought they were guaranteeing every colonial idiot a weapon that could wipe out an entire congregation in 45 seconds.
I view the NRA as an extremist organization at best, and a domestic terrorist organization at worst, because it works very hard and spends a lot of money making sure that anybody including domestic terrorists continue to have easy access to mass-killing weapons that are designed to cause widespread and quick damage. Do you remember when they fought to allow people on terrorist watch lists to be able to get weapons? (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...earms-U-S.html)
Now, to be clear, I am NOT advocating that Americans should not be able to own weapons. I'm advocating for sensible gun control. We have a problem in this country with mass-killings...in schools, and elsewhere.
I'm familiar with AR-15s and other guns, I have many friends that own several. They own them because they are fun. I believe you should be able to keep buying your AR-15s and other guns, but with the following restrictions. They need to be well-regulated, just like that militia the 2nd amendment was talking about.
1. The obvious. Limit the capacity of magazines. We can start with I don't know...5 rounds.
2. Illegal to modify any firearm. Any firearm modification tools or devices are prohibited unless explicitly allowed by law. That means the next jack*** that invents the next bump stock goes to JAIL.
3. To purchase a firearm, you must take a gun safety course and pass a basic examination. Too stupid to pass? Sorry, too stupid to own a gun.
4. Consider requiring anybody on psychiatric medication to be unable to purchase a weapon until their treatment is complete. This is based on the fact that a large number of mass shooters were on anti-anxiety medication or anti-depressants. Is what it is.
5. A limit on firearms per owner.
If the NRA were smart, they would be more active in making sure regulations exist that prevent mass shootings. Then they'd be part of the solution not part of the problem and would likely garner more support rather than people backing away from their extremism.
The fact that you can purchase a gun while you're shopping for groceries is absurd.
I absolutely stand with United on this one.

I'm all for sensible abortion legislation too. But telling a woman who just found out she's pregnant that she has no choice is about as sensible as the NRAs stance on guns. I was glad to see the partial birth abortion ban pass. With some exceptions (mothers life at risk) third trimester abortions are a horrifically disgusting act. But in the first few weeks? Different story.

Delta Taxes
Looks like Georgia is about to hit Delta in the pocketbook for doing what they did, I'd imagine other states might follow. It will be interesting to see if "blue" states give them a break on taxes, to which the irony will not be lost on me.

The governor is threatening extortion. He should be investigated and arrested if it's found that he's going through with his threat.
