Default LOR from Flight Attendant

Ladies and Gents,

Both my mother and sister are flight attendants with United; is it worth it to get a Letter or Recommendation from them or should I just identify them on Airline Application under the Airline Legacy portion. Thanks for the information.

Any LOR is great, in my opinion. I have one from a flight attendant and one from a gate agent as well. Makes you look well rounded.

If they work for United I would include them in the legacy section where it asks if you have family members working in the industry.

Absolutely! Also, if your “achievements” section is blank you need to populate it. I put internships and study abroad experience in. Good luck!

It depends, what kind of recommendation will they give you?

As other have said, YES, LOR.

In my younger days I could have garnered letters from a few of our comely female FAs. Of course I already had the job then and the letters content wouldn’t have been suitable for HR’s purposes. As Bruce said, “Glory Days”.

Now, I’m just lucky if they’ll let me use the head. Saves wear n tear on my depends.

Default thread title could be different

You could have also titled this thread "LOR from Mom". I never asked my mom for an LOR. I should have though because she thinks I'm great!

Didn’t think people got LORs from family members, even if they were in the industry.
