Great tip. Sort of like learn how to compete in the job market or stay stuck permanently where you’re at.

You are afraid of competition. Why do you have scope? Because we all know most pilots will do your job for less. Mainline pilots have the same skill set RJ pilots. What makes you so special?

It’s always been that way, and always will be. Nothing makes me special. Riding on RJ jumpseats and talking with guys like you, I understand your frustration. If you turn it in to a big chip on your shoulder, it is a good way to guarantee that you never go anywhere.

I nonrev all of the time on many different airlines.

The fact that this poser states that they never nonrev tells me they're not a pilot because although many flights are full, the jumpseat is usually available. I've never had a problem getting to where I want to go. Just a poser with an axe to grind with mainline United pilots.
I'm guessing XJT flight attendant.... seems to have a little general knowledge about the industry.... Interesting how he always has more experience, flight time, knowledge, net worth, quality of life, and pretty much everything than "YOU". Regardless of who he is challenging.... Disturbing that he has no self awareness that falls short of superior...
At this point we seem to appreciate his entertainment value but that is wearing thin.....

On the topic of UA discount fares, has anyone ever figured a way to purchase them for a dependent UM (unaccompanied minor)? I’ve heard the UM fees are waived. Any intel on this is appreciated!

I’m always happy to see guys that slugged it out in an RJ move on.

Just to clarify....”Slugging it out” is flying a BE99/1900, SA227, Shorts 360, BA3100, etc in the northeast. NOT an AP, FD, FMC, VNAV equipped RJ.
