It might just be something as simple as using the training capacity of 756 in advance of widebody FO and NB Capt bids coming.

Probably for a while. There were over a 100 unfilled vacancies on 756 last bid. A good percentage of 756 flying requires 2 FOs. Pilots will continue to bid off of it too.

Just met a guy who said he’s holding a line in LA on the 756 after 7 months. Said lots of new hires have come in behind him. Not sure about SF.

Lots of Hawaii too. At least that for the trips that could become open for reserves.

Thanks, I should be in a March class (Jan CJO) and am trying to get a feel for aircraft and bases, I will be commuting from Boise so SFO is probably my best bet. I was originally hoping for the 73, but with the last few drops it looks like I may be getting the 75 (I will be in the bottom 1/3 Of the class).

As a commuter it would be better for you if you take EWR/LAX 320/737 vs SFO 756. You will be on reserve far longer on the 756 and will be able to transfer into SFO quickly on the 320/737.

Welcome.
