I'm trying to imagine doing that commute. It's 15 hrs (13 hrs block plus connection in HNL) and that's from the West Coast. Imagine someone living on the East Coast, hoping for EWR and getting GUM. It's literally 24 hours, door to door, each way.
I'd probably just move there. Can't imagine that commute (to RSV!)

I'd rather that than getting forced into EWR/SFO CA as a commutter. At least you can get off GUM quickly and if you decide to take the 3 yr paid move, it's an experience you'll never forget.

I've never heard of Hogan prep, especially since the answers are so subjective it's hard to know exactly how the company wants you to answer, and if you get too specific at trying to follow a specific roadmap/personality its likely to flag as a poor score. The best advice I've heard is 1- be consistent, 2- remember the airline is hiring you to be a captain so if the question asks would you prefer to lead or get out of the way, put your big boy hat on and choose step up, not "Boy I would love to bid reserve and never fly so I'll choose the avoid work option", and 3- mentally add *at work* to the end of every question.
However even if you get it wrong, you likely have a 50/50 shot anyway as You want to be in the middle of most things so not Strongly agree or Strongly disagree on pretty much each question.

While everyone now gets an invite to an interview, in years past when the Hogan was a test with two possible outcomes: PASS and FAIL. You better believe there were/are still Right and Wrong answers.

Not sure if anyone is being denied an interview.

If a new hire gets GUM and is able to vacancy out of it, what is the max time possible a pilot would have to stay in GUM before their vacancy award is activated? In other terms, if someone gets GUM day 1 of training and they JUST missed a vacancy and have to wait for the next one, then wait for activation how long would one truly be stuck commuting to GUM?
