Any idea how much quicker I’d get to DEN on the 73 vs 320? And say I get to DEN in the airbus, is the QOL significantly worse if sitting at home on reserve in Denver is the goal? Oh also another question I couldn’t find in the search, how long between a system bid being awarded and the effective change?
Couple of months after the award, Aug vacancy bids are scheduled to activate in Nov.

Bus has been 4-6 months more junior than 73 over the last year plus and has fewer red eyes than 73 meaning a little less likely to get a late night call out. The 73 is the growth fleet, but that hasn't hit Den yet. Overall, I don't think you would end up spending more time at home in one over the other. New contact changes could shake things up.

I know everyone and their dog’s asking this question but, I’m wondering if I would be better off jumping ship? United would be my top choice. I currently commute but, we’re open to moving to base. That was the plan too if I stayed at NK, more than likely ATL, FLL or MCO. In United’s case it would either be IAD or MCO.
Shortly after starting out on the line, I was commuting home and met a senior company pilot also commuting. He saw I was new and asked “So, when’s your class date at XYZ?” I explained my reasons for coming to NK and why I wanted to stay. He laughed and replied “You ain’t gonna be able to drop anything.” I took it with a grain of salt at the time.
Taking into account the seemingly increasing number of denied drops I see on IOT each month for people a lot senior to me, as well as everyone in Florida getting mashed together if/when the JB merger goes ahead, I’m wondering if maybe that
pilot wasn’t completely wrong? Thanks.

Nobody knows.
The best thing you could EVER do for seeing your kids is move to base though.
For people chasing QOL, airlines with multiple fleet types make it easier. Some people spend their seniority for cash, which allows you to more easily spend it for lifestyle.

SFO Airbus was senior and CLE 737 was junior. But it’s kind of pointless to even ask this question each week. It’s wildly different class to class. Some classes to pick will be a Widebody or 75, others will have all the 320s going last in a giant block.
it’s impossible to predict.

I regularly see SFO 756 go to a top 5 spot, often the number one spot in classes. Which to those not in the know the most junior fleet company wide.

Houston has been the bulk of 737 drops to new hires since like January. It's very easy to obtain.
