Nothing if you bid up to WB (78,77) or go from FO to CA on any fleet. Every seat lock in the company is the same to lateral or move down pay rates, two years.

Every time you fly a leg (double transiting a base) there’s an opportunity for trouble.

A new hire will be on reserve. It’s unpredictable (search global reserve) but most find it ok living in base. Time to line varies by base and will shift depending on how the new contract incentivizes nb ca
I friggin’ wish I got 12 hrs between days. They schedule everything so tight that any delay start pushing well inside of 12. It’s summer, of course there are delays. They do it all unilaterally. It’s fun.

I know. It's accurate to a first approximation.

Soo what’s the difference in QOL between living in base (NYC) and flying WB vs flying 320 (NYC). I think most people try to avoid WB because of Global Reserve, but is it really that bad if you live in base?

As a local, particularly in NY, you’re probably worse off on NB reserve than WB—there’s just a lot more turbulence to NB schedules, so you’re going to have more frequent assignments and scheduling tomfoolery.

That said, you’ll be on reserve for longer on a WB.

Roughly 9 months and 2 years. that is reflective of 50 pilot/week hiring since summer 2021 and may not hold going forward.
