Next weeks class will see options from unfilled vacancies from the current bid that closed today…

We just had close and they seem to happen every 4 to 6 weeks. Next couple classes I am sure will have some good options then they will start to dwindle. The pro of having class the week prior or week of a vacancy bid that you can get bid to a base/equipment of desire rather quickly with some limitations with seat locks….

Ever, never are absolute, so you can't really say no, but it wouldn't be normal. The seniority dynamics much favor it happening at DCA vs ORD, though. DCA has two WB fleets vs 1 at ORD and is generally a more junior domicile. That being said, it will absolutely not happen in the next few months as there were no unfilled vacancies on the bid that just closed for WB fleets at either domicile. New Hire offerings are composed of what is unfilled on the vacancies.

Expanding on the above ... new hire bid on slots hat old hires didn't take. So it just depends. The company can fudge things a bit (ie offer 100 IAH 737 FO positions on a bid). There are trends (EWR and SFO 737/320 rarely fill) but ultimately it just depends how each bid goes down. This time - half the open slots are IAH 737.

Usually, the only WB slots for DCA that show up in a class drop would be DCA 756… Usually WB slots will always be some form of SFO, EWR. If you are really wanting DCA or ORD and your best shot will be the 737/A320 and then bid up into the base/equipment/seat you desire on the future vacancy bids.. You second best shot will be the 756 and same deal. It will take a little bit longer but you should be able to get to EWR on the 756 equipment fairly quickly and over time you’ll get to DCA/ORD. Forget about it in the 777, you will be commuting to SFO for awhile, no ORD base. 787, similar thing, but you might get to EWR quicker vs the 777. But DCA or ORD on the 787 will likely take at least a year best scenario… DCA on the 777, longer…

possible, but far more likely you take a 737/320 to DCA out of training then bid WB with no seat lock and same pay that first year. This is the way.
