Thanks for the info, that’s extremely helpful! Way better than trying to dig around for it!

In the last four classes, the youngest member was either 23 or 24 years old. Typically there are only two or three people under the age of 25.
Based on the past month, this is incorrect. There are often only two or three 777 seats, plus zero to two 787 seats. In the last few classes, the WB seats were all taken by pilots in the top 2/3 of the class. In the feb 28 class, the youngest five pilots all got assigned the 737.
Every week is different. Some weeks have 756 seats available, some don’t. Some weeks the 777 seats are SFO only, but some weeks there is EWR777 available as well. What you have to choose from will depend on the preferences of those older than you in your class. Just make a preference list, and then wait til day 1 and see.

So if my goal is to live in DEN, I should try and take any fleet other than 777 so that I can try to get into DEN eventually either by lateral base transfer or bidding up a pay scale and into DEN?

yes… worst case IMO is you get 777 or 787… then you’ll be stuck for 2 years before you can bid FO on the 737, 320 or 756 in DEN. Guess hail Mary could be bid 737 DEN CA if that happens to show up… but I have an inkling that once contract comes out the CA bids will dry up. Hope it works out for you… commuting sucks.

The 737 is the growth fleet and by far the biggest base in DEN. If DEN is your goal, bid 737, 320, 756. The G-line on the 320 and 737 is close, so the only way to know the quickest way to a line is with the benefit of hindsight. Denver has been having unfilled vacancies on the 737 as well. It’s definitely not the queen of the fleet, but you’ll likely advance faster than on other fleets.

No way to really know. My advice would be to pick your poison between the 320/737 and then you can always put in a bid in the future for the 756. No telling how the future DEN 756 flying will open up, or how the next contract pays different equipment, or the bidding for new equipment language will read…. Just get to DEN and figure that out later.

It’s almost like that’s the point of a…..wait for it……forum. If you don’t like it then there’s plenty of other places to vent. Where else are prospective pilots supposed to get this info?Class date is in 6 weeks FWIW
