What’s upper 20s like. How many lower 20s does United have going into classes now adays?

Lower 20s close to zero. Most 8balls are 25/26 this year

Every airframe slot has to be taken. So all those wide-bodies we're taken, usually at the bottom of the list.

Is there any seat lock if you get the wide body? Or could you upgrade after 1 year on the 737 while you joined on the wide body in the beginning.

Also thanks everyone for answering my average new joiner age query seems i ll be around the middle in general.

No seat lock for going up a pay band, so none for upgrading into a narrow body. You do have to be on property more than a year and a few other requirements to upgrade though, so that’s sort of like a seat lock for one year.

I wonder how difficult it is to snag that 500 hours sitting reserve on the 777 or 787 as well.

So as a low 20 year old I’m definitely the youngest and getting the 777 Ewr or sfo?
