And you might as well accept the fact that while on reserve if there is not an open trip available, the crew scheduling desk WILL assign you a reserve assignment (FSB/SC). Long call is just a technicality that really very rarely exists in real-time.

so true. And the only reason they do it is because they can. There is not enough cost associated with that to the company.

I hope that will be addressed in a new contract.

but reserve is a choice …
