AA has said, conservative, they will hire 900 by the end of 2022. The 2018 peak (2019 was slowed due to Mad Dog retirement retraining) was 939.
Hiring vs. Training is the key. I wanna say TK has the capacity to do roughly 1500 annually. Could be wrong.

I think they can do more if they rent other simulators.

Contract 2000 came during Bubba's tenure. Contract 2012 and Extension 2016 during Barack's. I'll give even odds that Contract 202X will be another big win for this pilot group... Green New twist or not.

I HAD to take a plumber bid to Denver as a new hire! Back then we could trade with another new hire. We would be in the cafeteria watching the employee lot looking for folks wearing suits getting out of their cars. (new hires just starting)

I saw one, asked where he wanted to be based, he said Denver. I told him to bid a Chicago slot and I would give him my Denver slot. Worked like a champ.

that’s all the DEN 737 slots (DEN Slots in general) that they had. Until another vacancy comes out DEN is done.

EWR SFO LAX from here…..

They're running 3 classes a month in May and Jun. Based on those start dates I'm predicting Jul 6, 13 and 20 and Aug 10, 17 and 24. Hope so, good luck!

So in theory there could be no classes in July? How long in advance to they announce classes?

they’ll release the class dates >30 days out... no reason why they won’t continue to run them weekly or every other week for the foreseeable future. Most of the retraining of displaced COVID related pilots is scheduled to be completed in the narrow body fleets in May/June... so the training center will be wide open for new hires this summer.
