Default CQTL/CQMV Canceled...

I guess Denver TK is still playing catch-up. I just had my recurrent B737 training canceled this week due to lack of instructors. Now I’ll be pushed into my grace month. We’ll see how that goes.

I hope we can keep the new hire training rolling 🤔

Did they cancel it before you left for it?

They cancelled mine last year during the pre-brief.

And then they expected you to scurry on home and sit reserve for them.

Yet another completely lame aspect of our contract that needs correcting.

I would check the contract wording on what you need to do for the company too. The contract is specific in it's wording that you are to be phone available during those scheduled training days ONLY if they notified you at the time of the cancellation that you need to be phone available. If they forgot to mention it, you're off the hook. Unfortunately for me, they didn't forget to mention it so I was phone available for my two cancelled days of training from 10am to 2pm. At first I thought it was a pretty sweet deal being a commuter. I could stay home.....wrong. "Phone available" is defined as being able to report for duty within 2.5 hours after being notified of a trip. It sure would be nice if our next contract puts some sort of wording about long-call availability or something.

Not to mention you now get to waste another 2-3 days in Denver next month getting paid less than min pay per day(3+45 vs 5). This place is a joke

Training pay needs to be raised to 6 hours per day, regardless of weather it was bid for in PBS, or later assigned, or otherwise scheduled. If training gets cancelled by company, company still pays the 6 hours per day. Something needs improving.....

Let's just hope for another contract extension. That will be adequate.

Fully expecting nothing less and to be overwhelming approved by the savvy rank and file.

Mine was cancelled last year as well. Right when we finished day one they called us. Just told us to go home. We will reschedule you when we can. Nothing else.
