Im not mad that the extension was passed I just voted to do it different. And even if I was mad what am I going to do about it? You can rub in the win all you want it doesn't phase me at all.

I dont know why does United fly its 777s domestically? does that mean its in the same category as a 737?
United can fly a 787 between SFO - TLV/CTU/KIX/PVG, IAD - PEK, DEN - NRT. guess what CANT fly any of those routes? A 787 can do EVERYTHING a 767 can do but a 767 can't do anything the 787 can do. Therefor different category of airplane.
A Q400 could fly 76 people 450 miles in the same amount of time as a 76 seat RJ. Are they the same category? The Q400 will use 50% of the fuel on those missions, but the CRJ will fly alot further in a shorter amount of time for every other mission.

I think our company would be better off replacing our 51 767’s with 787’s rather than buying new or used 767’s. Not only would it save an enormous amount of fuel over the long run it would eliminate a fleet type which is a huge savings as well.
But most importantly we would have almost 500 more wide-body paid pilots.

Ok I’ll give up on the semantics since your comparing a narrowbody and a widebody, and a jet with a prop.

Hold the turd burger. I know you like to reminisce about the good ol' days...like C2000. I was here then, too. I remember:
The lack of PTC. No line guarantee until you started your last trip of the month.
The lack of 5 hours per calendar day. We had 5 hours per DUTY day. Remember those 12hr 3-days? 22hr 5-days?
The 81/83hr CREDIT cap. LOL. Remember "the bank"? Where your hours over 81 were kept until next month or the month after when you were under 81 hours? Now we have awesome rates with NO credit cap. Get some baby!!
How silly is a low CREDIT cap anyway? Or ANY credit cap. That's 1950's job featherbedding right there. It's no wonder Herb Kelleher bragged about his 50% seat mile cost advantage over UAL back then. 2001 was sure ugly.
No sir, I'll take our UPA over C2000 any day. (pension loss aside). The extension was just icing on the cake, especially with the DAL $nap up.

I get the learn from the past but 2300 of our pilots have no past except for this UPA. This is why we disagree and it is why we had to go to LEAP training and learn how to play nice , and how to communicate with you old folks.

Wadr, have your expectations have been realigned to the point where you are blinded to the benefit of contractual improvements? He's not talking about returning to C2000 but building on what we have. Talking about a cap, no ptc, etc is a red herring that serves no purpose.
