Do you know what the 00 50 seat plan is next year?
Do you know what the C5 50 seat plan is next year?
Do you know what the TSA 50 seat plan is next year?

I don't so Ill wait until I see the 2018 fleet plan.

You seem to be running scared from your own shadow. I didn't realize that adding a new mainline aircraft every other week was bad. Growth to slow for you?
Hardly. I'm just going off on what's actually happened not what has been advertised.

We were supposed to hire 800-1000 each of the last 2 years and going forward. We haven't. This year alone we only hired and recalled enough to keep up with retirements. We were supposed to get 65 700's we didn't. We were supposed to get a NSNB with the extension. We didn't. We were supposed to acquire 319's from spirit. We didn't. Still waiting on the eminent purchase of 30-40 airbuses.

What has happened:
The accelerated retirement of the 747, which is now sorta being replaced with 14 777's this year. As many displacement bids as vacancy bids. XJT was supposed to operated through this year only. Instead their cpa was extended and the exiting 50's have been relaunched to tsa and c5. OO has added as more e175's than crj 700's have exited.

We have grown slightly year over year. But don't act like we're growing at an exponential rate. And yes I am familiar with all the planes on order. Much has been promised and under delivered in my short time here. But according to you this time we're to go all in.

But it sounds like you were one of those deal me an ace crowd.

Between the upcoming Scope Battle,

. . .

Reality is, we have held steady around 12500 pilots give or take a few hundred.

Also, our Mainline aircraft will have grown from 737 to 742 from 2016 to 2017.. but while it's great that we increased by 5, we have actually lowered the number of top paying aircraft.

PS) Make A Wish Foundation, both International and NY/NJ Chapter, Special Ops Wounded Warrior Foundation.. 3 good charities~
Happy to have a taker. Like you said it's a "win-win"!

Scope - see my post from several pages back where I quoted an email from our MEC Chairman. I think Scope is a non-issue and a total head fake meant to distract and agitate the pilot group.

Pilot count - The previous administration had a different plan than the current administration. Without looking at the actual Min/Max bulletin I will say that in 2016 we grew by about 800 pilots, and then in 2017 we were flat, but as I pointed out earlier 2017 was about rationalization and utilization and was manpower negative, but that was a good thing. Going forward 2018 will have noticeable expansion or so I surmise.

Yes, but I suspect WB block hours and total number of WB pilots are up plus I think on a post merger basis the absolute number of pilots at the highest level is likely way up, but I will verify all these facts in a separate post.

What are the actual aircraft deliveries scheduled for 2018 (type and month)

Give me a few minutes . . .

Good think your Handel on this is so good.

Maybe you should change your username to a post Justice album when they started to suck, kidding.......

In all seriousness, you CAN'T blame guys like me, RJDio (\m/), or others for being pessimistic based on past performance and not buying into kool-aid.

When we're any of the bold items ever announced? There was never a NSNB attached to the extension, and there was never an announcement for NK 19's. You listen to way to much rumor. As for the 700's, they were deferred into higher paying 737 models. Which is a good thing.

You have read section one of the contract right? You under stand that they're shuffling deck chairs against the scope limits?

As for the Whales, they were coming up on heavy checks that were going to cost more than the airplanes were even worth. Something like $60m per hull just in labor is what I had heard. Hence why they're being parted out and cut up.

No kool aid on my end I just look at the numbers. Nothing in the numbers leads me to be pessimistic. Fear mongers seem to lack facts.

I'll wait to see how the Kirb-stomp on the shuffle pans out.
