5-E-12-a A Basic Trip shall not be scheduled for more than four (4) Duty Periods.

Just looked at the 5 day trips. Since duty periods and days aren't synonymous, I suppose they technically could as long as a 6 day trip is still restricted to only 4 duty periods.

Domestically that would mean a lot of soft time. The company only wants to pay soft time if there is no other option.

Ummmmm??? I've already had a beer or two, but that doesn't add up.
Sorry I didn't write that more clearly although I think you obviously know what I meant. Why do two 3 day pairs that are worth 15 hrs ea for a total of 30 hours over 6 days when I can do 22-25 hrs in a 4 day block. As a jr line holder you have much more opportunity to make more money on the 737. I'd take a pay hit if I bid the 757.
