Surely you jest. ORD 747 displacements, IAH 777 and 787 displacements...

TDY's to cover bases with W flying.

Three full size busses to take 3 different crews from the hotel to to the airport within 10 minutes of each other.

A350 and RR engine orders they can't get out of, and the sims to go with them to boot.

UCH Management throws money at the wall and sees what sticks. When they run out walls they build a new building and throw more money at it. When they finally run out of money they take your retirement.

My 8 year old is better at fiscal responsibility and long term planning.

So 2 classes a month of 20 each minus a summer break equals abooouuutt...450.

Whats the matter there 89? Is this news of big hiring affecting the salt content of the **** in your Cheerios? Don't just count the numbers of new hires, we have brought back 1200+ recalls as well, including yourself. You are filling a seat that wasn't need to be filled pre merger so now you are adding to the growth. We have brought on and recalled 3600ish pilots since 2012. Thats an average of 57/month for 5 years. Sure it is not 100/month but its still pretty good considering there have been several months throughout the 5 years where we trained zero.

News of big hiring? You must have a number then. How many are we going to hire?

We initially announced 1100 for 2017 and will finish with under 400. I didn't see any communication that said there was going to be big hiring in 2018. I saw what they claim to be planning as far as classes per month but nothing on how many per class. I hope they're able to hit the mark this time. It'll be the first in 5 years.

We have a great new hire department. The inability to hit the mark isn't their fault. They are constrained by forces that reside outside of Denver. You may not be totally familiar with those forces but here's to hoping it works out this time.

A previous post mentioned it's a great time to be at United and a great time to get hired/class date. What about the other legacies? Is it a good time to also be hired at AA or DL?
