MyIDTravel load check please ORD-FRA
Looking to take my family of four to Frankfurt from O'Hare this weekend.
I've never done this before. Any tips or techniques I might need to know?
First option is flight UA944 on 8 Oct.
Second is flight UA 907 on 8 Oct.
How do the loads look? Thanks in advance, my family and I greatly appreciate it.

34 seats on 907 with no non-revs
doesn't look good for business or first, but should be all together in coach (econ plus prob) on 944

Not sure what your pass travel classification is... but generally other airline employees using ZED have to sit in E/E+... no upgrades to BC or FC even if that is only seats remaining. I'd look at the ZED travel policy for offline riders under United and ensure that whatever flight you decide to pick has ample E seats available... I've seen many left behind. If you are a united employee then everything should be fine and every class of service will be available even with buddy pass riders in tow.

Thanks, looks like there's a couple LH options tomorrow as well. Hopefully I won't have to rebook.

Get the United app on your phone.
Buy ZED tickets on United through your employer/MyIDTravel.
Use the confirmation number and last name and check in 24 hrs prior on United's app on your phone.
Done.... now in the app as you check in, you can "view boarding totals" which will show you capacity, booked, and available seats for each cabin. You will also have a link for list of standbys.
It takes the entire guessing game out. You will know your chances. Another great thing through the app is as you checkin, the "change your flight" option. It's free as a ZED traveller, and you can see loads of other flights on same route BEFORE you change yourself to that other flight.
United is the only airline that allows this much info and flexibility for ZED nonrevs through an app, and I love United for that
