United Hiring Question
#23
FYI I've had AirlineApps recommendations trigger the spam filter on the United.com email system. They eventually go through but it takes a while for them to show up.

I always thought my degree was questionable (transportation mgmnt, railroads). Hands down the easiest degree program out there (save for airline mgmnt. ielanes). Come on now! Youre studying what you ostensibly love? It was with quite a dose of humility to admit that I struggled outta the gate and into the finish line with a 2.4 GPA. I cant imagine how the airlines Hiring team looks at these low plane and train GPA’s. Lol. Good luck gentleman!

Has anyone been hired without any jet time?
i.e. I'm retired Army, 4100 total time, 2300 in helicopters, 1800 in the King Air. Currently Part 135 Captain, bachelors degree, volunteer work, a few internals.
Do I TRULY stand a chance or do I need to make a change to my resume before I would be considered?
Thanks!

IMHO, you DO stand a chance and I'd suspect you would eventually have a reasonable chance to be hired, but statistically your odds will be better on the backside of the hiring wave.
It's still competitive and there are still lots of candidates with lots of PIC jet time that will sit higher on the stack for a while. This is where changing your resume is a potential consideration.
That said, there have also been pilots hired with lower qualifications than yours.
If you can stand out from the heard you just changed the odds.
