At Delta (for comparison) they started using plastic silverware for international crew meals served to the pilots due to new flatware "shortages" 6 months ago..... but somehow that's never changed.
BTW, also at Delta (for comparison) they have all the FA's on PBS monthly and lord knows that they have many ac types, languages, and bases for the FA's.
Not sure where the computing power comes from as Delta has never claimed to be a Technology company with wings, in fact Delta IT's mottos is "yesterday's technology, tomorrow".

Our PBS system is junk! We should not even have the ability to be a "line donor". We should be able to bid for a line and if the system can't give us a line with our preferences, then we should be able to bid for a reserve line with our preferences. Furthermore, if the system still can't satisfy our preferences, we should be able to go back and bid for any line. It is possible, Delta can do it!

There are holes in the contract and the company often exercises exuberant zeal while exploiting them. I think that's worth pointing out. Perhaps we can close some of them next time around. As Floyd stated, we ought to try and leave this a better place for the next guys. I'll retire soon enough. Just keep voting Yes.

The pilots will exploit loopholes in the contract when possible and will chest beat about how they "stuck" it to the company. Just read any number of the posts on the other forum about guys submitting those expenses for meals thst they claimed to be a spoiled meal when in fact it was just unappetizing. Or half the FO's I fly with expensing wifi for WSI yet they are constantly texting and surfing the web and don't seem to have any SA, yet they bill the company for weather and then proceed to exercise no concern for the actual weather outside the airplane. When questioned they will all be virtuous about their character and need for a meal and WSI and it's wrong for the company to ever question their expenses.
There will always be a loophole somewhere in the contract. The document is just too large and touches too many things to not have areas of unintended consequences.
Back to your claim of the contract not being implemented I think that is more just an emotionally driven comment on your behalf that doesn't represent the facts. Also it didn't take 5 years. If it had we would have been in embroiled in massive information campaign from the MEC regarding these unapplied sections. Maybe I missed those updates?

Remember, it's not the companies lack of computing in this case, just the low cost outsourced bidder. Few people realize the complexity and shear number of solutions that have to be computed.
UAL would never pay what it would take to find a PBS solution that would work with the FA's. The unstated reason I put this out, our contract is coming up, openers next year. One of my priorities is improving PBS. It would take a substantial investment to improve our system, one I'm sure the company will not be doing unless we all make it a priority.
Yes, computers exist that can come up with solutions, but not at the price point UAL is willing to pay. Remember that at contract time. Stepping over a dollar to save a dime.

You said "5 years later and the company hasn't fully implemented the contract." So what parts are not implemented. You seem to believe things are not being honored. I'm curious, maybe I'm "owed" something. There must golden eggs somewhere with all the anger you have. Presume it must be really value items. Are we not getting the premium ear dicks and ear plugs we are supposed to get?

If you and or AWACKS have examples then please accept my apologies. Otherwise it appears to be emotion overriding facts.
I would just imagine if there were sections of the contract that hadn't been honored or implemented it would be widely disseminated and communicated.
