I'm surprised you saw that too! Because there were no widebody CA's who took an FO bid in DEN. Not even one.
My lysdexia strikes again! Fine...NARROWBODY CA’s. Still, like you, I had a hunch it’d go more senior than people thought, but I’m still a bit surprised considering how bad the flying will be.

The 777 is brutal on your body, I did it for a few years, especially with a commute home on the end. Plus if your at say 76 hours on the 777 vs being home and doing 85 hours on the 757 it's not that much of a pay difference. I loved the airplane itself, but I'd personally never go back to the 777, especially at 60 +.

Thanks for the heads up. I've always wondred what it's like to fly the mighty 777.

The guy who did it is a UAL scab. I'm wondering if he had less than happy times out on the road.

The view out the window is the same on every airplane, except maybe the 50 year old little slits in the nose of the uber guppy. And it sits only slightly higher than the plane captain taxiing into the gate, The flying isn't the fault of the airplane, but of the scheduling airline.
Lots of Jetblue and VA guys fly 19-20 days off a month, 1 day turns. On the opposite side of the world, a lot of Asian carriers do short/medium haul on the 330/340/777/787/A380.

It ain't the jet, it is how it is scheduled. The worst scheduling is high TAFB, lots of WOCL's. The best, at least for me, is very low TAFB, and no WOCL's.

My dream job is a bunch of high time, one day trips. 100 hours TAFB. 75 hours.

This stupid thing Boeing built, rather than coming up with a new/modern narrow body.

German über ‘over,’ after Übermensch.

A guppy is a 737 and uber guppy is one that barely flies and holds like 200 people now.

Hey, it flies just fine.. It's the rotation, side slip, and flare where it fails .
