Default IAH UA Employee Lot flooding?

I was not with United/CAL during TS Allison in 2001? Anyone know if he employee lot on Greens and JFK stayed dry during that storm?

Will likely be working this weekend on Reserve and would like to return to a vehicle not underwater. Looks like there will be some rain in the Houston area from TS Harvey.

Thanks.

I've always been told to park as far away from the entrance as you can as it's higher in elev, turn right after the entrance and go all the way back. I'll be working the weekend too and hope to have a unflooded vehicle to return to as well.

Boat might be most useful if it does flood.

I was there during Alison and the problem was not the parking lot. The problem was the road was flooded out heading to the airport thus nobody was coming in or out of airport.
Continental pulled a dc-10 over and allowed the crews to use it as a makeshift hotel.

So that's where the idea of crews sleeping on airplane instead of a proper hotel originated? 😄

not only that but you were kind of expected to "help out" and fly the next day. I remember someone from flight ops would come down and yell out who they were looking for.

What would you expect with crooked flight ops people we had on board.

Don't miss that place a bit!
