Assume you meant 787-10?

Been there many times over the last few years. We actually only have 11 to 12 737 daily departures there and the aircraft dedicated to the ops have lower utilization than average.

Maybe... but my concern is that our military might be responsible for Guam tipping over. The danger is real.

Sorry, I do have to apologize here. My last landing, I could actually feel the island tilt a little....so don't put all the blame our military.

The only smart play as a pilot is to send resumes to every company you'd be happy to make a career at until one of those companies calls, and then keep updating until your precious chosen one says yes.

Oh btw if ual doesn't hire another pilot till march of 2018, there will be 10 others that think this timing is just perfect! It's not personal, it's business.

Default Feb Training

Just received the mail from BK that training will not start until Feb and not hiring 1200 new pilots in 2018....anybody on the "inside" know what is causing the delay. doesn't look that good for United compared to the other Majors....Maybe I should have taken that Delta interview after all....

we have been posting for months about massive displacements all over the system due to the parking of the 747. When you displace from the most senior aircraft all the way down to zero training will be drastically affected. The training department is so backed up they can't run a vacancy bid. Without a vacancy bid there is no movement without movement there is no new hires.

You are needed for next summer just not now.

Thanks MP...there is no good way to say ..."we really want you, in 6 months"...but I suppose the silver lining is that the pool will be FAR less than 153 pilots by the time any of us actually get a United training date...which should mean even less time on reserve...
