and airhoss. whatever. history has shown that some pilots follow their own self interests- notwithstanding all their prior grandstanding. i'd peg some blowhards on this forum as the first to run to the airport for the wb captain upgrades should we ever go out on strike again. and they will really explode - now that i've said it...
Not saying you're not right, it's easy to sling a rifle during times of peace. But if you don't know, down to your core that there is no way in hell you'd ef over the rest of the pilot group, and wouldn't cross that line... then you might be a Scab. There is no grey area. There is no "well maybe." This is binary.

Some 757s just got freed up. Cancelling service from EWR to BHX and SNN and GLA won't operate during the winter.

It’s being reported on Airliners.net, there’s no official source. That said, apparently bookings are zeroed out in res systems which would seem to be a good indicator.

So, with today's snapshot (13th) you have 41 guys with bumps to either LAX 787 CA or SFO 787 CA and an additional 60 guys with the seniority that haven't submitted their desires yet!

Even with another 787 coming next month and 4 more over the winter, I think that is going to be way too many Captains. I imagine the "cleanup" displacement will be issued shortly after this one closes!

Only 28 guys going to LAX 787 FO and SFO 787 FO, so maybe there won't be bumps there.

LAX and SFO 787 FO are already overstaffed and that's without most of the folks that went there from the first couple displacements not trained yet. There will still be a slight decrease in SFO 787 block hours by mid winter and only a slight increase, if not flat, in LAX 787 hours even while considering SIN. Hope you're right though.

If the 787 Captain displacement is significant they will have to do at least two cleanup displacements to get the west coast right. Then we can get ready for DCA 777, LAX 777, IAH 777 and 756, CLE, and GUM.

Yup..This....^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Hence, we are hiring "internally". Freeing up unproductive pilots to go back to active status. That is why we aren't hiring until late in the year.

They shouldn't call it 1711D, they should call it 1711UJ. For Un Jeffing.

You're saying they will do two cleanup displacements for CA's first THEN do all the 777 displacements? Why wouldn't they just do them all at he same time like they have recently?
