Re: New ALPA automated PBS bidding launched

Happy to help if needed. It's a little challenging initially but once you get the hang of it (give or take 30 minutes of instruction) the current system is quite intuitive. You have to understand the weighted bucket system and how avoid and award statements affect each other. After that it's pretty self explanatory.

I tried ProBid during the month it was designated for my BES. HORRIBLE. First, It only spit out one bid group. That's it. Secondly, the guy/gal that created it locked some trips in the basement with some avoid statements up top...THEN tried to award them further down the line. Totally stupid. I didn't even bother trying to write back to ask WTF. What a waste of my time filling out the for for ProBid. I'm going to stick with my $50/month BidNav.
Probid and Probid ( Plus + ) are two different products.
The new one is Probid plus ( new for Aug bidding ) its an automated computer program that builds your bid groups and emails them back for input by you.
The Probid only no plus is usually done in 2 bases each month and is rotated around the system. It is hand built by a PBS trainer and emailed back for you to input.
IT will not allow anyone outside access to their server so thats why you have to input bids yourself.
