SFO vs LAX 737 or A320 flying

I do not fly the 737 or the 320 but have commuted to both LAX and SFO in the past.

As for A320 vs 737. The A320 flying is typically 2-3 shorter legs a day, flying to some smaller cities like MFR, SBA etc. There are still plenty of transcons and red-eyes. The 737 does Hawaii, and typically 1-2 longer legs a day. Still plenty of red-eyes. The airplane is NOT a pleasant place to spend time, sadly. But it's more reliable than the A320 so less maint delays in my experience on both. For me personally, the misery of the 737 is worth about a 20-25% hit on seniority to be on the A320.... unless you're commuting to reserve on one and a line holder on the other. Then I'd go with the line. Hope that helps a bit

The 737 on the west coast overnights in Lihue, Cancun, Kona, etc. The bus overnights in places like Des Moines, Madison, and Salt
Lake City.
The Bus guys love to rip on the 737, but I've made peace with the plane: yes it's cockpit is tight, but the beaches it takes me to are WIDE OPEN.
Lake City.
