Default SFO vs LAX 737 or A320 flying

Can anyone share info about what typical trips are like from LAX vs SFO in the 737 or A320. For these two aircraft is one domicile any better than the other for a commuter?

LAX is an easier commute. SFO has better seniority. The trips are about the same quality from what I can tell.

I do not fly the 737 or the 320 but have commuted to both LAX and SFO in the past.

Agree with what Airhoss says about the two commutes. Presently sitting out a 3 hour flow delay time to SFO. LAX is a much easier commute, but SFO is better for seniority.

As for A320 vs 737. The A320 flying is typically 2-3 shorter legs a day, flying to some smaller cities like MFR, SBA etc. There are still plenty of transcons and red-eyes. The 737 does Hawaii, and typically 1-2 longer legs a day. Still plenty of red-eyes. The airplane is NOT a pleasant place to spend time, sadly. But it's more reliable than the A320 so less maint delays in my experience on both. For me personally, the misery of the 737 is worth about a 20-25% hit on seniority to be on the A320.... unless you're commuting to reserve on one and a line holder on the other. Then I'd go with the line. Hope that helps a bit

The 737 on the west coast overnights in Lihue, Cancun, Kona, etc. The bus overnights in places like Des Moines, Madison, and Salt
Lake City.

The Bus guys love to rip on the 737, but I've made peace with the plane: yes it's cockpit is tight, but the beaches it takes me to are WIDE OPEN.

Some of my most memorable overnights were in small/medium size cities in the US.

Mine too, but for any guys coming up from the regionals who've been there/done that/have the T shirt, I'd recommend the 73 over the Bus for a change in scenery.

Go into PBS and look at the monthly results for other fleets. You can see where you are on the list, and look at the final monthly bid results for pilots around your seniority.
