Hmm, did I misread the letter before deleting it?

I didn't see SKLV as an 'occurrence' at all. I saw vacation sick, training sick, holiday sick, short call sick, and CCS sick. But if I call the crew desk more than 13 hours prior to my show time, for a trip which is not over a holiday, training, or adjacent to my vacation, it doesn't count at all.

I read this as a liberalization of previous policy. No?

I was thinking the same thing after I read it. I didn't see a regular sick call as an occurrence. Just missed trips, short sick calls, etc...

Interesting thought in this subject.

1. I figured the CCS entry (prior to 1000LBT on the day prior to a trip) was the preferred method of notification. Only required a call after that deadline.
2. Who can expand on the CA sick call. I've never heard of it.

Thanks much.

Please post your findings. Where can I read up on CASL?

Also remember, those of us that live in CA, you also have to option to call in "California sick." By law that cannot be used in any sick leave counseling scam. You have to call the crew desk to do this and can't do it via CCS.
The annual sick usage reminder memo. Means nothing. Again.
