I've used them a few times. The deals for cruises are okay in that you can get upgraded (balcony) cabins for the cost of a standard cabin. Their actual steal deals are Caribbean all inclusive resorts. And if you have any issues they stand behind you.

dargal.com about a month out from the cruise... you won't get the best cabin location (all the prime balcony's, etc go a year out) but you'll get a great deal most of the time. Cruises in the middle of summer break are hard to get any great deals... but if you want to go in late May early June or right after school starts they are dirt cheap. I've also found that inside a month the prices don't necessarily get much cheaper... i've actually seen them go up... so now I book no later than 30 days out.

If you are able to pack and go on very short notice, you may be able to get an unsold cabin directly from the cruise line. Call and see what they offer, pay by credit card, and pick up your tickets at the pier.
