There are some returning furlough classes running all summer. I'm sure that's where the backfills will come from.

Still being in new hire training, can I bid this? I'm in initial fleet training in June, if awarded would I get pulled out of initial fleet training to start 756 training?

You can definitely bid for this.... As far as training goes it just depends. If they can't get you into 756 training you will most likely finish your initial training in whatever fleet your assigned and then maybe hit the line or possibly go straight into the 756 training...

Can you bid? Absolutely!

Will they pull you out of your other fleet to send you to 756 school? Maybe.

Given the fact that the bid announcement actually says some training may start in June, they are obviously open to that idea. As Jim Carrey says " so you are telling me there's a chance!" I think in this case it is a much better chance than the 1 in a million he was given. If you haven't actually started your other training by the time the bid results are out and wanted to go straight to the 756 , a call / email to manpower now might get you some insight on whether or not they would be open to that.

As always:

Oh yeah? Well 20 years at United will almost buy you a line in Denver as a 737 Captain. Almost.

Can you imagine the bids/juniority if the 65- 700s were still coming? WOW. On another note...Air Wisconsin is hiring BIG TIME. With a signing bonus.

Iv only cleared 75 hrs once this year. But my numbers are off by $1000 because I commute to WB and I could be NB at home. So my break even is s little lower.

It's the same argument with WB FO line holder and NB reserve CA.
Not sure of that math. A WB FO with 75 hours credit (4 SCs which is super easy) makes the equivalent of a 756 FO (flying 767-300s... not flying the -400) working a 91-92 hour line. In addition, a NB FO would have to work 100+ credit hours a month to make equivalent of the WB FO... you would literally not be home. Bottom line, if you live in domicile, and want to make money and not work much, then a WB FO gig is a good deal/bet. I've worked 12 days so far since 1 Jan 17... and worked a total (including landings class and CQ event) of 75 days last year.

^^^^^^^^Yup! I commute and being a g-liner if I am on reserve or holding a line it's usually a wash on sparky. For me it still beats 90+ hr line on the guppy or 757. Min guarantee is enough for my lifestyle and allows my to dabble in other things...thinking of amateur surgery.

Took me 17 years to finally upgrade at AA, pretty much first available as well. It is what it is. Happy for my Delta bubbas who are seeing some amazing times.
