I've nseen this many times on Deadhead, but never 4 seats under one last name. Usually ,that is how families are listed.

Let's see what happens after check in.

Humm interesting...what about UAX? I was listing on a UAX flight and didn't look at the PS number. When I saw the list I saw 5 PS riders listed! Then I saw the 5 under PS. There went those seats. Bad enough it's an RJ. Worse when they have to position their crews! But I digress.

UAX moves crews around a lot using PS from what i've heard on the line. When flights are looking full last minute at the gate I've heard of commuting pilots calling their crew desk and getting a PS seat to "protect a flight"... I'm not sure if this is a urban myth but would not doubt this occurs a lot.

They are checked in and still showing up on pass rider list as standby, now 2nd on list behind one other PS0B with a May 17 board date, which does sound legit.

Where does one go to inquire/report pass riding abuse?

make sure you send them a snapshot of the employeeres listing for that flight so it shows the flight info/date, names, seniority date, and what boarding priority... or it will be a waste of time sending it.

This is true. I used to work at Skywest and once I called them to said wouldnt be able to catch a flight. They put me on hold and got me a positive space. Not sure how often it happens but if it was that easy for me i assume a lot.

From my experience in PS and commuting on both UAX and mainline, its mainline that PS more crews. But I always figured that was because they have more crews per aircraft. Also, I've never heard or gotten PS from scheduling because I told them I wouldn't be able to make it. But that's probably because we have a very good and very generous commuter policy. So we just comply with that...or call in sick with our very good and very generous sick call policy.
