Also heard UAL was going to start interviewing again next week....here's hoping for they start draining the pool with classes earlier than November.

I'm fairly certain any update would appear on APC with seconds of it occurring.

Crew resource update for august says 400-500 next year. Nothing close to the 1200 all the BS'ers on here were saying.

I hate you:

Did you see the 1200 number came from the MEC?

It's not BS if it's from your ALPA reps.....

Maybe the company changed their mind.......again. Don't worry though. 1200 in 2019!

Last Fall, in DEN at the standards meetings, two numbers were put on the big PowerPoint slide regarding new hires for 2017/2018. Most of us wrote these numbers down as we knew people would be Interested. Those numbers were 1170 for 2017 and 1240 for 2018. The presenters knew their audience and knew darn well we would share the info. Within days of being back home from the meeting, the network VP resigned (pilots in attendance had given him a long, standing ovation after his presentation) and the order for 65 737-700's was cancelled/pushed to the right/converted/whatever. We "de-Hubbed IAH and ORD a few years ago only to be told that we would be "re-hubbing/banking" these hubs this Fall. I get it, things change and new management bring new (old) ideas. I will not be getting my hopes up when presented with a great plan this Fall. Cautious optimism at best. I'll believe it when I see it still seems to be the best attitude for setting expectations. YMMV
