Nope. It’s direct to UAL from CFI

This is confirmed.

I attended the UAL brief at the NGPA job fair yesterday. Susan Whit said that the first few CFIs from this program have class dates starting next month. Twin piston straight to the Bus or 73...

I was shocked too. I can see not wanting to hire to much from your own feeders but there are thousands of current A320 driver apps on file from the LCC's.

Maybe not “thousands”, but 737 current, highly experienced regional/ACMI/corp-frac/Mil pilots not getting a hogan.

After 12 years of schlepping around mainline pax in a busted up old RJ, I got the Hogan, and was told I didn't fit the mainline mold, and should go back to schlepping around their pax in said RJ... But a 2 year CFI gets the nod?... Nothing against the fine folks flying the line there, but I'm happy to be going down a different path now. Best of luck to you with these wonder pilots from the puppy mill.

You deserve better! United is so messed up, they deserve to go bankrupt.

So they are somehow inferior to you because they never went to the regionals? Get over yourself.

They got the hogan and passed it, they went to the interview and passed it, they met the specified minimums so they were hired.

It’s the way the world works. There is no such thing as entitled to a job, not everyone gets hired that’s life. I’ll see if I can dig up a participation trophy so peoples feelings don’t get hurt.

Every airline has interns that were hired with nothing. Getting ****ed about it is childish.

AboveMins,

Ignore Masterofbeingadick. He was handed a job at United with little experience. I hope this guy is not the typical UAL pilot that believes CFIs are more deserving than senior RJ pilots. **** him!
