Upcoming United Chief Pilot Meet and Greet
I've been fortunate to have a CP Meet and Greet scheduled next month. It has been a while since there have been any threads on the subject so I'm looking for some updated intel.
Has anyone had one lately? Has there been much success getting an interview scheduled if all goes well afterword?
Apparently the new format requires your sponsor to sit in on the meeting with you so it's not a one-on-one anymore. I'm guessing the whole thing will be pretty relaxed and is self-explanatory on what to expect. Any other general tips/words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Really want to knock this one out of the park...
Thank you!

The process has changed and each CP now only has a limited number of slots. You are in a select group.
Treat it EXACTLY like you are preparing for the actual formal interview in Denver with your dress and demeanor to match.
Good luck!

Agree. And have your logbook up to date with a solid elevator speech of your flying experience. One chief pilot stopped doing these, at least for awhile, when someone he recommended based on the strong support of an employed pilot couldn't keep the aircraft right side up in the sim after he was hired. Kinda awkward to say the least.

It's cost-benefit pure and simple. The cost of sim rides for all far exceeds the cost of an occasional miss-hire. How's it go? Something about the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

And with CP's only receiving a smaller allotment of slots it's a MUCH shorter stack these days.
There are zero guarantees throughout the process regardless if a pilot gets a meet-and-greet or not, but there are different odds.
