[QUOTE=rightside02;2503040]Personal experience , I had 4 LOR from United guys and 2 other airline .
when my app called pulled, I specifically asked at a career fair what this meant to United . He said people get stuck on the LOR's trying to get so many. He explained they look at the hole package . So a guy like me who had little LOR compared to a Express Jet guy who's been based in IAH for 20 years , how ever , coming from previous Airbus experience , check airmen blah bla blah , other stuff if the resume to give me enough to get called. Now a guy with 2500 hours with little experience sure , he'll prob need a letter from Gordon Bethune himsef .

Dont get hung up on any one area of the app. 10 lor was never required but they don't expire and can't hurt. If they write one you don't like or is one line you can delete it after the fact. They look at everything and they appreciate people who are actively trying to get hired so letters of rec that you have acquired consistently over the years shows them this is where you want to be.

Absolutely do not need 10 or even close to that. Quality over quantity. Anyone who ever tells you 10 is needed or ever was is very misunderstood. Just keep at it and you'll get an email soon.

Anyone know what exactly to expect in the “meet and greet”? I’ve seen some old posts. Just wondering if things have changed?

Did one in June with IAH CP. Just 45 min of discussion and a pleasant conversation. Don’t be weird, don’t be a jerk.

Did one last December with the ORD cp. I was told beforehand it was just business casual. I brought my resume and we talked about that, my training, why I want to go to United, my background, then chatted with my dad who was sponsor for the event. It was the 3 of us in the room. A little Company gossip and future plans for United etc. very laid back and pleasant.

Haven’t heard anything but I’m still a low(er) time regional ca.

They did mention at the expo that 7000 TT and 1000+ TPIC is still the average for a new hire. Always the exception but that was the general average.
