I know two guys who had successful CP M&G's in the past year. Both very strong candidates. One has received and invite in this last round and one has not. Ironically, the one that hasn't gotten a UAL invite has a Jan class at SWA and an invite from DL. So, who knows what selection method is being used for invites these days.

Everyone I know has gotten SWA interviews. Then Delta a distant second. Then United-very few American.

What are the general quals of the guys getting Hogan invites who had meet and greets? I’m still just a lowly few hundred hour CA at a regional.

From turbo-prop FOs to Thunderbird flight leaders and Air Force One pilots. Avg TT is around 4-5k I believe for RJ dudes.

Was not sure where to stick this question but this thread seemed sort of appropriate. Are the 10 references still a requirement for getting an application pulled or are they pilots getting interviews with less. Short of getting a CP meet and greet I've done everything possible. Also when I attended one job fair the United hiring brief they said they were going to start having internal job fairs like Delta has been doing, for civilians as well. Any more rumors of this?

I doubt anyone can tell you whether 10 references are still needed or not, but I think its safe to say 10 wouldn't hurt to be on the safe side. They don't have to all be internal or even aviation based. Just get em in there. As far as the internal fairs, I havnt heard that one in a while but that's what I was told they wanted to do eventually, when I was going through the process a couple years ago.

You absolutely do NOT need 10 internals to get an invite. A CP meeting absolutely does help immensely though.

Okay thanks. I had just heard once or twice that they wanted to see at least 10 references on airlineapps. United has always been my first choice but dang, they seem to be one of the hardest to get the call from or crack the nut as to what they are looking for.

Not 10 internals just references on the airline apps...that is what I've been told before anyway.

Personal experience , I had 4 LOR from United guys and 2 other airline .
when my app called pulled, I specifically asked at a career fair what this meant to United . He said people get stuck on the LOR's trying to get so many. He explained they look at the hole package . So a guy like me who had little LOR compared to a Express Jet guy who's been based in IAH for 20 years , how ever , coming from previous Airbus experience , check airmen blah bla blah , other stuff if the resume to give me enough to get called. Now a guy with 2500 hours with little experience sure , he'll prob need a letter from Bathoon
