The situation described in the first post doesn't sound legal.
5-E-3-h A Pilot assigned to a Basic Trip shall have a scheduled Off-Duty Period of at least twenty-four (24) consecutive hours at his Base at least once in the 168-hour period that begins when the Pilot’s last Off-Duty Period of at least twenty-four (24) consecutive hours ended.

Not too good to be true, if you waive double duty and don't mind the suckage. Caveat: because it's a 3-day and a 4-day, but only six calendar days, no telling how scheduling will handle this. I got two 3-days scheduled over 5 days, 15 hours each. If you're trying to pick them up, I'd try to pick up later one in CCS, then call desk and tell them you want the earlier one and will waive double duty.

The overlap day doesn't pay a minimum of 10 hours. The 3-day trip pays a minimum of 15 hours and the 4-day trip pays a minimum of 20 hours. If the non-overlap days pay enough to cover those minimums then the overlap day could pay significantly less.

That's what I figured. The waive Double Duty (which is what I meant to say originally) would cause this. That said, I haven't bid this way in a a while but I have bid this before attempting to get back to back trips on the same day and it's never worked. You hit the jackpot 😂😭

If it's a 3 day followed by a 4 day...this could be a factor depending on how early the 3 day reports in the beginning and how late the 4 day duties off on the backside. I realize it's a rolling 168 hour period and I don't think PBS would build something that is illegal in that situation.
I was just thinking out loud.
I was just thinking out loud.
The look back 30 in 168 doesn't consider when the second trip ends ("duties off"), it starts at the beginning of every FDP. If the first trip started at 0000 on day one, at 2400 on day six would be 144 hours later. This hypothetical situation would provide just 24 hours free from duty in the last 168 if the final FDP started at 2400. So the FDP on day six would have to start not later than 1800 to show 30 in 168. But in the actual example the first trip starts at 0640 not 0000 sliding the last FDP start from 1800 to 0040 the next day. So regardless when the second trip ends, I don't think there's a 30 in 168 issue but I could be wrong in my understanding of this of course.
