My UAL email has been accessible so sporadically that there is no way I can use it for anything. The last two times I looked at it in the past year, was trying to get a password reset for WSI (unsuccessfully). When I look at my inbox, it is full of company SPAM. It gets more spam than my Yahoo account.
I use it for Content Locker, JeppPro, and maybe watching a wifi movie if I am DHing. Thats it for me. I keep tape over the camera and microphone.

Saw more than one 727 pilot that could not grasp glass cockpits. The iPads are very similar in the transition from paper to digital. Some pilots don't have the ability to adapt. They will moan and groan until they hit the exit. The flashing 12:00 on his VCR (Betamax) must drive him crazy.....;-)

1. You can send today's flightplan to Adobe and Adobe will immediately open yesterday's flight plan, right where you last viewed it.
2. Popups warning that ownship display is not authorized whenever the screen is turned on or that particular app is opened.
3. Certain application options are forced so you cannot misconfigure them, such as ownship display.
4. EULA terms dialogs appearing at random intervals. Also, the EULA changes to "check connection settings" when appropriate to facilitate agreement in flight, with or without data/wifi.
6. Automatically switching from the SID to the airport page a few seconds after liftoff.
7. Unscheduled updates.
8. Greedy for wifi, trusted or not, suitable or not.
9. Gives you time to brush your teeth, get dressed, and take a short nap whenever it loads a flight plan.
That's a lot of features. It might even be worth the paper revisions and flight cases we lost.

The iPad has many features currently missing from glass cockpits.

I'm an early adopter of this and absolutely hated doing jepp updates, but give it a rest already. Stop with the signin prompt.

Likewise, I've watched more than one "children of the magenta line" who couldn't fly a decent visual approach (without the AP and FMC doing 90 percent of the work even though we were high and fast on the profile). Yet, I'll bet those Einsteins at Asiana were absolute Houdini's in the simulator.

And likewise I've watched some of the older generation who couldn't fly themselves out of a wet paper bag. Thank god some of the "younger generation" were there to give them subtle prompts to get them back on the path and get their gear and flaps down at the appropriate time.
